The Yosemite Project
Located on the outskirts of Yosemite, this historic small hotel has long been a destination for travelers drawn to its vintage charm and storied past. When new owners took over, a thorough evaluation of the property’s aesthetics, management practices, and food and beverage operations was conducted to refine its overall guest experience.
With all the essential components of an operational hotel already in place—including an extensive collection of vintage décor—the focus was on enhancing the brand narrative. Local legends and lore were woven into the hotel’s identity, deepening its connection to the surrounding landscape. Minimal yet impactful adjustments were made to common spaces, ensuring both an elevated aesthetic and accommodations for COVID-related concerns.
The result was a more polished and cohesive atmosphere, increased guest engagement with the property’s history, and the successful, cost-effective launch of a new breakfast program that complemented the hotel’s unique character.
